The JAM Name Change Grant was created to assist the Transgender Community in Kitsap County with the cost of legally changing their name/gender marker through the Kitsap County Courts. This grant is specifically designed to financially assist in the event that the waiver via the court is denied. Costs that can be funded include, but are not limited to, name change, gender marker change, and/or processing fees for updated documents. Want to start the process and don’t know where to begin? We have also partnered with local attorneys working pro bono to assist Transgender community members with navigating the legal process of name and/or gender marker changes and updated documents while prioritizing your safety, security, and privacy.
